Reception Furniture What You Can Do To Make It Look As New As Possible
All workers have days when they think their reception furniture could do with a bit of a facelift. Money is quite tight at the moment and it may be that you don’t have the cash to spend on some completely new reception furniture just yet. Its at this point that you have to take a different approach to your reception furniture and think about what you can do to make a difference. Here are some ideas:
Add Some Cushions – here’s something simple but effective. Anyone that can’t afford to buy new reception furniture can go down the cushion route and make the most of the ‘comfort factor’. Old chairs will have frayed upholstery and suchlike, so it is important that these get covered up with some nice new cushions. Reception chairs can sometimes be quite uncomfortable, so cushions are the easiest and cheapest solution. There are some chairs that don’t have very good back support, which means there is another use for cushions too.
Table Flowers – some workplaces get it all wrong when they try and make a reception area inviting. Think about what you would want to see if you walked in somewhere. If you have shabby reception furniture, then you don’t want this to draw the eye first, so the recommendation is to put some flowers on the table to make a subtle impact. Go for visually powerful colours like red flowers.
However, it really does depend on just how bad your current reception furniture is. If you just have a bit of upholstery fraying round the edges, then you might be able to get away without having to buy new furniture. Bear in mind though that stains and broken pieces of furniture really should be replaced with brand new reception furniture.
Make your reception furniture fit neatly with the rest of your building to get the best results.
