News Articles
The biggest search engine is google and approximately 80% of all internet searches are done using the google engine, so it is important to know what google is looking for in the way of good content in order to be listed on the first page of a google search.
One criteria that google uses is uniqueness. Any news articles that you post to your website with the intention of drawing search engine traffic should be unique. You can write your own articles for your site, or you can use a ghost writer, or freelance writer, to do the writing for you.
If you use news articles from one of the many article directories as your source, you should be aware that many other people will be publishing the same article on their websites and well, so it is harder to make them unique. However, you can structure the page where your news article appears to add commentary. If you insert commentary you can easily make the article unique to your site and improve your chance of higher search engine rankings.
Google also uses a computer algorithm to analyze the way an article is written. This is called latent semantic indexing, or LSI, and in simple terms is a way for google to quickly analyze the content of news articles to see if the article has been written in a natural, conversational style, or if the writing is stilted and skewed due to trying to write for specific keywords. Writing to include a large number of keywords in an article that has very little valuable content is called keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing will not help your site get better rankings with google.
